Alternative events for the Ingelheim red wine festival as streaming offers
"An Ingelheim evening reloaded" and "Burgundy wine tasting by the Lord Mayor"
As the Ingelheim Red Wine Festival cannot take place as usual this year due to the Corona pandemic, the city administration of Ingelheim and its Ingelheim Kultur und Marketing GmbH (IKuM) have planned two alternative events which will take place as streaming offers.
On the original red wine festival opening weekend, "An Ingelheim Evening reloaded" will be streamed live from the kING Culture and Congress Hall Ingelheim on Saturday, 26 September at 7 pm. "In a modified form of the previous Ingelheim Evening, this year all districts of Ingelheim will be brought to the fore", explains Mayor and Department of Culture Eveline Breyer. An entertaining evening is planned with fixed elements of the red wine festival, as well as talks and games, and musical accompaniment by a band.
In addition, the Burgundy wine tasting by the Lord Mayor will take place on Friday, 2 October from 7 p.m. live from the vinotheque of the Ingelheimer Winzerkeller. Customers can order the wine packages in advance, probably from mid-September. They can either be collected from the vinotheque or delivered by post. The sample package includes a total of eight wines. These will be presented by various presenters, and of course the winegrowers will also be present. "We are very pleased that we will continue our tradition of Burgundy tasting and present it with a new concept," said Lord Mayor Ralf Claus, giving a brief preview of the event.
In order to give all interested parties the opportunity to follow the two events online, the links to the free streamings will be announced here at a later date.
