Displayed all year above the sacristy of the Catholic parish-church in Kell am See, innumerable visitors are pleased about this crib which was completely restored in the years 2005 - 2007 but created between 1870 and 1925 by the Rhineland-born manger-builder Jakob Reischig who constantly extended his crib.
The influence of the baroque style as well as the one of the Nazarene movement can clearly be remarked here.
The entire salvation-history, beginning with the wedding of Holy Maria until to Jesus’ entry in Jerusalem is impressively represented. Not less impressive is the representation of the two cities Bethlehem and Jerusalem beside a desert-landscape with the Holy Family at the escape to Egypt.
On the 4 Sundays of Advent and from the first day of Christmas to the 31. Dezember daily is opend from 14.00 - 17.00 o'clock.
