The vineyards are all located in the south of the Boppard Hamm.
The steep slate soils are quickly heated by the sun. The wine that grows here is mineral with a fine fragrance and racy acidity. The climate is strongly influenced by the heat-storing body of water of the Rhine.
The Middle Rhine is one of the warmest regions in Germany. Mild winters, an early onset of vegetation and a long growing season make for optimal conditions for the grapes.
In 2002, the upper Middle Rhine Valley was declared a World Heritage Site.
