The RheinBurgenWeg trail stretches along approx. 195 kilometres from Rolandsbogen near Remagen to the Mäuseturm tower near Bingen. On the left side of the Rhine River, the trail meanders across hills and secluded side valleys, forming the pendant of the Rheinsteig trail across the river. This means that there are now two premium hiking trails available along the Rhine River. Some of the features along RheinBurgenWeg trail: Access to the ‘Red Wine Dorado‘ Ahr Valley, the world‘s largest cold water geyser in Andernach, two vie ferrate as challenging alternatives to the regular hiking trail, vineyards, and of course the beautiful fortresses and castles.
