AhrSteig Stage 6: Walporzheim to Bad Neuenahr Mitte

From the trail car park in Walporzheim we follow the path along the Ahrufers, leaving it through a small, jungle-like gorge. Over several short wooden footbridges we change again and again over the Wingsbach. The adventure in the small nature paradise lasts only briefly. We leave the gorge, our way leads us past the former Liebfrauenkloster and the performance center of German women's football, into the vineyards above Bad Neuenahr. Gradually we gain altitude until we - now again in the forest - take the descent into the valley of the Bachemer Bach in attack, where almost at the end of the valley, the small Lourdeskapelle waiting for the hiker. After a quiet retreat, we slowly conquer the climb to the Karlskopf , Above Bachem, the view over the vineyards opens down to the lively twin town of Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler. But it goes straight back into the Bad Neuenahr forest. After a short descent we reach the paradise meadow and the forest climbing park. If you are looking for a special kick, swing yourself across the meadow and back here at a height of 30 meters, hanging on the guide rope only in your own belt.
