Welcome to Neustadt-Hambach on the German Wine Route! This Wine Village, famous for its Castle and its historic days of 1832 ‘Hambacher Fest’, is known also, far and wide, as the cradle of German Democracy. The naturally mild climate encourages intensive vineyards and tourism, with approximately 20 active wineries, as well as many popular cycle paths through the vineyards, idyllic hiking trails that will take you around the edge of the Palatinate Forest. Almond trees, figs trees, oleander bushes and palm trees normally found only in southern European climates thrive here in this lush landscape.
‘Hof- Albert’ lies in the very middle of the historical center of Hambach, next to the Old Town Hall. Bank, bakery, hair-salon, post office, tennis court, local food market, a small theater, various restaurants and a heated outdoor swimming pool are in direct vicinity. In 2011, this 17th century old winery was lovingly and ecologically restored as a private home. A cozy, peaceful courtyard leads guests to their holiday quarters situated in the west-wing of the property.
